I create motion graphics for The Superstar Denise Show including but not limited to animated logos, lower thirds, transitions, and specialized graphics for the game-segment of the show.

Every episode of this production has a game segment called Superstar Showdown. Each game is different so I create unique graphics to fit the game and the theme of the episode.
The segment shown above involves two speakers asking each other multiple choice questions. In the motion graphics I created I first prioritized the question be the main focus large in the center of the screen. Then I decided to have the question stay on the screen but shrink into the corner for the multiple choice answers to be shown in time with the speaker reading them out. Then the answers glow based on the correct and incorrect answers the speaker may give.
The assets made for this game needed to fit the visual language created by the pre-existing logos, branding, and transitions so I created a custom animation for the border of the question box. The full logo shows lights rotating around the edge so for the question box here I created a rotating light sweep to keep the base elements of the frame without the design becoming too “busy” or distracting.

When I began working on this production I was tasked with using assets created by a different motion designer early on in the project. The client asked me to redesign and improve upon these assets to make an updated and expanded branding and graphics package for them to use moving forward.
The most impactful redesign I created for the logo and main assets is the frame designed to look like a glowing marquee sign with flickering bulbs. The original logo featured yellow circles rotating around the frame and glowing like light bulbs. For my redesign I wanted to emphasize the light bulb appearance, but still include the rotation and light flicker. To achieve this I made the circles stationary and layered glow effects and opacity changes to show the light bulbs turning on and off and carefully adjusted the timing to subtly add the rotation effect along with the lights all flashing on and off together.
